Okay so I'm working on some new demos for my website and I'm going through a bunch of different commercials, promos and animation projects that I have I was thinking that it'd be cool to just post some of them here. So here's some videos of some of my work that I think is funny, cool or just a good example of what us voice-actors do. Hopefully you've seen some of these before and maybe you didn't know it was my voice, but now you do.

Amica Monkey Spot:
I've been fortunate to be the voice of Amica Insurance for several years now and we've done many kinds of spots. The Monkey one was one of my favorites, although we did a bunch of ones in this particular campaign that still make me laugh out loud. All the Amica spots I record are via ISDN from my home studio.

Guiness World Records - The Video Game:
This is a new campaign that's running a lot on Cartoon Network, Fox etc.. It's a fun one as it allows me to use my "Big Over the Top Announcer Voice". It's similar to the voice I used on Fox Sunday night promos for years. This was also recorded vie ISDN from my home studio.

Frosted Mini Wheats:

A lot of my friends ask me, "Are you a Mini Wheat?" Yep! I sure am. The Strawberry one to be exact. This video is actually not the finished spot you see on TV. It's a temp they sent me because they realized that the "Oops" at the end was suppose to be my Mini but they had audio from an older version where my good friend J.D. Cullum who is the "Main Mini Wheat" you see in most of the commercials had said the line. So I recorded the line "Oops" and sent it to them via e-mail (it was a small enough file to just e-mail). So all that said the one that is on the air has my "Oops" at the end and this version has J.D.. Just a little inside story. By the way this spot was also recorded from my home studio via ISDN (sans the "oops).

The Clone Wars are Finally Here!

Well, this Sunday (August 10th, 2008), is the Premiere of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and all of us that are involved are very excited! The Premiere will be held at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood where another famous Star Wars film debuted 28 years earlier... Anyone know which one? Yep, The Empire Strikes Back my favorite of the first 3 films.

You know after many years of providing the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi for various Star Wars projects, I still am in disbelief that I get to be a part of the biggest movie franchise of all time. It will be fantastic to get to watch (and listen) to a character (let alone Obi-Wan) that is voiced by me on the big screen. I'll definitely have to follow up with all the events that happen this Sunday.

And for the first time ever on my site I am actually providing a photo of the real me in this Blog. It was taken by one of my dearest friends and the best photographer I know Mr. Zeke K.

I have always been against my picture being on my site because I want people to see the characters I do without focusing on what I look like, but Zeke took these shots of me for all the Star Wars stuff and I think they're very cool. Plus you know how hard it is to get a real lightsaber! Anyway, here's one of the shots. Hope to get some positive feedback, and again please check out Zeke's websites I know you'll enjoy them!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Movie

Well I can now officially answer all those people that have been asking if that's me doing the voice of Obi-Wan in the upcoming Clone Wars movie and the answer is... Yes! We have been working on this for many years now and it has been (and still is) TOP SECRET, but I can at least tell you that it's AWESOME and all the folks at Lucas have done an amazing job! Dave Filoni, Henry Gilroy, Catherine Winder, Jenn Berry... As well as all my fellow voice actors, Dee Bradley Baker, Corey Burton, Nikka Futterman, Matt Lanter, Ashley Drane, Tom Kane, Cat Taber, Ian Abercrombie... It's gonna be a wonderful addition to the world of Star Wars and I can't wait for everyone to see it! Check it out AUGUST 15th, 2008
